Awarded “Best Soloist of 2006” by DownBeat Magazine SMA, “Best Player” by Billboard Magazine, and a multi-year recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship, saxophonist Matan Chapnitzky, has appeared on stages across the globe including Italy France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Finland, Canada, Mexico, China and the USA.

Chapnitzky graduated from Berklee College of Music Summa Cum Laude on a full-tuition merit scholarship. While living in New York City, he performed with Avishai Cohen, Aaron Goldberg, Jason Lindner, Jonathan Blake, Ari Hoenig, Mark Guiliana, Joel Frahm, Matt Penman, Eric McPherson, Anat Cohen, Omer Klein and other greats. He joined Yemen Blues in 2012, and in 2013 performed as part of Omer Klein’s Song of Songs.
